Let’s Talk Lymph: One of the most overlooked systems that can literally change how you look and feel.
You’ve heard me talk about the importance of digestion and the gut microbiome a thousand times— the gut is the second brain, so it literally has the ability to impact how we think and feel… but the lymphatic system is often overlooked and it too can transform our overall well-being.
“What exactly is the lymphatic system, and why does it matter?”
Unlike your heart, which pumps blood through your circulatory system, your lymphatic system doesn’t have a built-in pump. It’s a vast network of vessels, nodes, and organs that quietly work behind the scenes — filtering waste, clearing toxins, carrying immune cells, and keeping inflammation in check. Think of it as the body’s natural drainage and detox system… but it only works well if you keep it moving.
Here’s the dilemma: our modern lifestyles — long hours sitting at a desk/car, chronic stress (hello elevated cortisol), tight clothing (aka: cute workout fits), dehydration — all slow lymphatic flow to a crawl.
And when lymph stagnates, waste builds up. 🤢
What does sluggish lymph feel like? — bloating, puffiness, brain fog, hormone imbalance, sluggish digestion, skin issues, low energy, and a weakened immune response.
The good news? Supporting your lymph doesn’t require anything extreme. In fact, simple, intentional habits can make a world of difference.
Some of my favorite ways to support your lymphatic system!
🧘♀️ 1. Intentional Movement:
Rebounding (bouncing on mini trampoline), or a fun class like C7 Training in Dallas, walking, yoga, and stretching all help pump lymph through the body.
You can also try out one of these vibration plates.

The key with these tools is CONSISTENCY.

💧2. Proper Hydration:
Lymph is about 95% water — so hydration is non-negotiable. If you are in Dallas, I recommend Crazy Water. Be sure you are drinking half your body weight in water in ounces per day… NOTE: If you are drinking water all day long, and peeing it out… you are NOT hydrating. Add a pinch of Celtic salt to your water.

🧘♀️ 3. Deep breathing:
The diaphragm is a powerful pump for lymph flow. If you are like me and forget to breathe, or take shallow breaths, practice box breathing. Google it. :)
💆♀️ 4. Manual touch:
Dry brushing, gentle massage, and lymphatic drainage techniques can help keep things flowing.
